Hello!
Today its two months ago since Inez came to us. It has gone very well over my expectations.
Sadly she had an accident out in the woods. She loves to run loose and track for mice I think and it's going fast for her. This day she should run towards us and jumped over a pile of dried twigs and pricked herself in the throat. She get fever and dribbles blood for 24 hours, then she get better. I talk to the veterinary a few days later when we are at the health check. He checks her throat and sees or feels nothing. Then a week passes by and she gets a really swollen throat. She gets to use penicillin but she is still swollen and it gets to operation. But now everything is good.
She is a marvellous dog. I think she is longing for the sun, she always search it up and lay down in the sunlight.
We can have her loose more and more. She is following her master when he is out jogging in the woods without problem. She is with us almost everywhere but she can be alone without problem.
Up for food she is and she has gained a couple of kilos and starts to get a nice bodyweight.
My mother in law (takes care of Inez during the days sometimes) and "the Spanish woman" as she calls her, enjoys it together, there she gets a bit extra spoiled.
Inez is one part of the family, my best walking friend, I must go every day, it's such a pleasure to see her happy and satisfied. She is the best thing happened to us since we got our children.
Greetings Gunilla and Inez with family

Banus
I was first introduced to Banus by Elke at the Marbella Street Market in November 07 he was very small and very sick. AAA said that he was abandoned with his other 2 brothers and found next to a dumpster (both of his brothers died). I could not leave him that day so I adopted him later that afternoon. That is were I first met Ana . She took Banus as a Foster. Not only did she take care of him until I could pick him up, but she took him to a Vet, Cooked him fresh chicken and rice and asked for nothing in return. I am very grateful that she took care of him and want to make sure that she receives photos with lots of Love from Lori and Banus. As you can see he has gotten very big and is a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you sooooo much AAA and Ana. I will be back in September to help and donate! See you soon

Hello
A letter from me and Hanna, she is lying by my feet snoring after an exciting weekend. My husband has started to go by bike with her and she runs besides elegant and good as if she hasn't been doing anything else.
Her look is out of this world, she is so proud over herself and she holds her noose high, right up in the air, oh, she is so funny.
She is really a big admirer towards my husband, everything he tries to teach her she tries to manage at ones, according to him, she is the smartest dog on this earth his little Hanna. She is a wise little dog, it's only the cats she doesn't want to stop hunting otherwise she is willing to learn. She also likes to make up things and from having a house with many carpets on the floor we only have a few now, she is like a tornado, jumping and spatter around so that carpet, dog and we are upside down.
When she is finished playing, she sit down and wag her tail with a great smile. We have it so fine with our Hanna, she is with us everywhere when it's possible and she has been alone at home for four hours and she just slept on the sofa, so we have got the worlds best dog.
Big hug from Hanna, Martin and Lisbeth.

Hello from Rico (used to be Richard or Ricardo)
It is over two years now that Rico came home to Finland (5.2.2006). He is doing fine. He is my best friend and the light of my life.
He is most intelligent dog, he trains to become a rescuedog, that is to find lost people. This boy was left to streets on his own when he was still a puppy and then spent more than two years in the shelter, but he is not bitter, he still wants to help people! He loves his job, wandering in the woods finding people or finding them in bildings or in ruines. He is always ready and eager when I say to him ”we have a job to do”. That is when starts to wave his tale and keep this sound of joy.
He can walk without leash anywhere as he behaves so nicely. We take long walks every day and Rico also takes part in many things at home. He helps me carring loggs for the fireplace. He keeps strangers out of our yard. In summer time he loves to swim. He is also very good in ”taking it easy” on the sofa by the fireplace. And he loves his food.
I want to thank Liselotte from Sweden who sponsored Rico those years he spent in the shelter and the staff at Triple-A for looking after him before he found his way home. I am luckiest person in the world to have him. I love him so much that it hurts. I think Rico loves to be with us too.

Hello there!
Nieve, who's now called Nuutti arrived here to Finland on an early Sunday 13th of January. I picked her up from the airport and then started the four hours lasting trip to Honkajoki where Nuuttis new home was waiting - along with four other dogs of mine!
When we had driven for few hours was a time to stop and Nuutti got her probably FIRST touch to SNOW! You should have seen her face - she was more then excited!! unfortunately I didn't have camera with me at the time when she was crawling and playing in the snow but sure she enjoied! I was also excited but because of another reason: how where my other dogs going to take Nuutti? I just had to believe that they would accept Nuutti to their "gang"...
So when we got home I took others outside on a field and they where running freely while I took Nuutti from the car with a leash and suprisingly well went the first meeting! The other dogs got freely come to Nuutti and Nuutti got to smell them peacefully before we went in the house. So now I have five dogs and they get along with each others quite well. Ok, sometimes we have little disagreements but doesn't we all have...?
Ou, I have to tell you a funny thing what happened two days after Nuutti arrived.. She accidently got free from the leash and run after one of my cats ( I also have two cats ) and didn't want to come inside. She followed us the whole way back home but when was time to go inside she decided to stay outside! Well I tried to get her in with dogfood, sausages and meatballs but no - she was quite afraid of my hand and everytime I reached out for her she escaped. I couldn't get her inside at that time so she stayed outside that night and she slept right beside the door. Well the next morning came and I went out with my other dogs and again she followed us freely the whole walk but didn't want to come inside so I called a friend of mine to come and help me. We tried everything we could think of: good treats like meat and sausages around my yard, leading Nuutti inside or to the storage outside but nothing was good enough for her. We also tried to get her inside the car where she liked to be but no. When evening came had I tried all kinds of tricks and even my landlord had helped me to get the dog inside but she decided to stay also that night outside - even it was few degrees below zero celsius! The next day we decided with a friend of mine to take her dog that is a Siperian husky and try to get Nuutti gaught with a help ot this dog and SURPRISE surprise: Nuutti fell in love! She just like that got herself in the mood that "Ok these people are nice and I love especially this dog!" and we got her back on leash after two nights and days of being outside...
Now there's something about Nieve aka Nuutti and...
I want to thank you that I have this wonderfull dog and here's some photos of her and her "boyfriend" !!
Yours,
Kaisa and Nuutti

Eleonor – escape and found again in Sweden
Javi the "hero" with eleanor Eleanor with her new owner
Eleonor arrived to Sweden Saturday (26:th Jan) night. She was a bit shy but came over it when giving candies.
She followed her new family home to Tullinge and sleep the whole night whit her paws around her new mom.
At the Sunday morning they took out Eleonor so she could do her needs just by the house. She was completely
calm but then they meet an other dog and suddenly Eleonor jumped high and got out of her necklace and set
of in full speed. Her new owner and the other dog owner called on her and tried to run after but she just run away.
A notification to the police was done and family, friends and people from ADA came together for to search.
Notes were put up everywhere and papers with telephone number and pictures on Eleonor where given out.
After a while they saw her nearby a kennel which a family whit small dog has. They tried to reach her by tempting
her with sausage and kind calls without succeeding. During Sunday and the evening a lots of people called and
told where they have seen her. Eleanor's new family immediately went there but then she was gone.
The family with the kennel was well aware of what had happened and let their dogs eat outside the house so
that Eleonor should go there for to get food and give them a opportunity to catch her. She stayed nearby and ate
from the food but they couldn't catch her during the whole Sunday.
The search and calls for Eleonor were kept up on Monday after establishing that she had survive the cold night
in the free. Whereas we now that Eleonor is shy of people she doesn't know we contacted Javier in Marabella.
We asked if he could be able to come to Sweden and help us to catch Eleonor. He took the first plane and landed
in Sweden at Monday night and the search was continuing.
At Tuesday morning the 29 of January we got to know that Javier had catch Eleonor a while after midnight.
This was what happened; Eleanor's new owners daughter was standing in a cross road by a gas station,
while Eleanor's new owners daughter in law, Tomas and Javier were driving around in a car. After two quiet hours
the daughter suddenly saw Eleonor at the gas station and call from attention at the car and gesticulate that they
should be quiet. Javier quietly gets out of the car and heeding for Eleonor who gets worried and runs away for a
bigger road. Javier jumps into the car and Tomas drive fast past Eleonor and turn the car over the road for to
stop the traffic. Javier slowly got out of the car and walk towards Eleonor. They had put out food on the street and
she ate them up carefully. Suddenly a police car stopped there. Wonderful you thought to get help with the traffic.
A young policeman jumps out and starts to walk towards Javier. Tomas then calls "Carefully, stop. Come to me
so I can explain. He is from Spain we have lost a dog." "Oh, it about a illegal dog" the police quickly decides loudly.
"No no", sais Tomas, "the dog is from Triple A, she is adopted.
"Then she should sit in quarantine" the police continue. But then a female police gets there and save the
situation so Javier can continuing calling for Eleonor. The policewomen explain for her colleague that there are new
rules after that we got with in EU. Meanwhile Eleonor is getting closer towards Javier, she nearly crawls against
him, still shy but she really wants to get closer to this voice which is familiar to her and Yes, Javier can lift her up.
What happiness for everyone! ADA and Eleanor's family wants to say thanks to all people in the area of Tullinge
for their support and commitment and in front of alltowards Javier that succeeded in catching Eleonor before
something more seriously would happen!

Hello AAA My name is Lena and i had Typhoon last year in fosterhome with me for about 1 month when his master
came along. Typhoon is renamed FAXE and lives with his master Birger in Karlskrona sweden.
It´s a town by the sea so his master has a sailingboat where Faxe is the 2th captain and in the family there also is a horse.
Birger is an outdoor man and loves to go hiking and so does Faxe so they spend much time in the forest and out at sea. Faxe is the dog with a big D (dog) for me,he has a very special place in my heart so when they came t
o visit me in august this year it was a big moment for me to see 'my' Faxe (Typhoon) again. I use to say that i have 2 very special boys in Karlskrona with whom i´m in love and that
is Faxe and his master Birger, they are a match made in heaven thoose two. I just wanted you to know how well Faxe (Typhoon) is today and having a wonderful life here in Sweden.
Thank you for given him this possibility by taking him in at AAA. Many Hugs to you all from Me (fostermom) and Birger master to Faxe and from Faxe himself Sincerly Lena

Dear AAA,
We adopted Balu over six and a half months ago. We were told then that he suffered from Leishmaniosis, a disease which can be fatal for dogs if not treated on time. Balu has been under treatment for the last
six months and today we got his latest results, the vet has told us that he is extremely happy with them, although Leishmaniosis is a cronical disease, Balu has been given the all clear, which fills us with joy and we wanted to share these great news with you.
I have attached a few photos of him, one of them being at Christmas opening his presents (he is very spoilt)
another of him sleeping in his favorite place (our bed)
Balu is happy, he is very active, loves playing, loves teasing, loves cuddles and is a very very intelligent dog.
A lot of people will tell us how lucky he is to have found a home with us. I disagree, because I think we are
the lucky ones to have Balu with us.
Thank you for everything you did for him.
Love

Just a short message to see how you all are at Triple A (humans and dogs!) and to let you know that Lucky is
thriving in his new home.
He has now grown into his ears (which were ENORMOUS when I first got him!) and filled out into a very handsome
little dog I had never owned a dog before (although have always had a variety of other animals) and I wondered how
much of a disruption he would be to my lifestyle, but he’s such an easy and happy little person and has been absolutely
no trouble at all.
He loves nothing better than to play in the garden with his toys, rushing from one to another with his tail wagging
furiously! He also loves his long walks in the country and sits in the car, nose pressed against the window, eager
to find out where we’re going and which walk we’ll be doing today!!
I just wanted to let you know that he’s very much loved and will definitely not be returning to Triple A at any stage
in the future!Even my very non-doggy parents adore him and Dad has been seen on more than one occasion running
round the garden chasing a stick… while Lucky sits and watches him!!!!!!!
If we happen to be passing I’ll pop in and say hello, and you know that if ever you are in the Mijas
area you’re more than welcome to come and visit us and see little Lucky in his new home.
Love from us both,
Alex and Lucky xx

I
I adopted my 'Nacho' at the AAA Xmas fair way back in 1996 and to this day he has been with me 24 hours a day and is one
of my life and has been through think and thin with me. He is now nearly 13 years old and even though he suffered a stroke
on the 6th of December 2006 ( his birthday) he is 99% back to normal thanks to the Alhauring Animal Clinic..
. whom I cannot praise enough. Like most sufferers of this he is now on daily medication but as happy as ever.
He now has a friend to play with, we adopted from the wonderful Paloma of the Refugio Parque del Duque in Alhaurin de la Torre,
a sweet little mixed breed bitch of approx 4 years who like Nacho was abandoned, in fact she never had a real home.
Nacho is a shinning example of the work and love shown by AAA and all animal associations on the Coast.
If you want a Dog... I beg you not to buy one but to visit any of these animal shelters.... you will truly find a friend for life...
Good luck.

She is enthusiastic about all the birds and rabbits who live in the area and doesn´t stop wondering

(like travelling on the bus to the city…). I´m so happy I found her and could provide her this opportunity.

Hello! We adopted a dog named Lukas from Triple A, through ADA in Sweden. We don't know what his name in Spain was (he was born in 2003 according to his passport),
but here his name is Lukas. This is his story: ""This is me, with my favourite toys that my new family in Sweden gave to me.
When we don't take our walks, play or go places i like taking a nap, if I can, as close to my family as possible.
During the night I sleep between them in their bed, I love it! In my new family there are two cats, I'm starting to get along with them. I just want to play with them, but they seem to get scared of me the whole time. But now I think I convinced them I'm a nice guy. My new family lives in a pretty big city, but they take me to the countryside, the forest and so on several times a week so I can run around "free", which I love!. I just wanted to tell you guys that I love it here and that I'm glad I found a new home.
Lots of love from Lukas"" July 2006
Dear AAA,
it’s now nearly 4 years ago that I adopted this wonderful King-Kong Size dog from you. He was one of the musketiers.
His name now isSam and his weight is 46 kilos. He still lives in Estepona and his doggie and moggie family has a number
of 8 all together. Even if he is a very big guy he must think his size is like a Chihuahua. He tries to climb on everybody’s
lap and if he sits beside you his nose comes up for to remember us on a cuddle. We all love him dearly and he his a good
as gold as companion and guard dog.
We are very lucky and happy to have him.
Thanks for rescuing this wonderful dog.

Dear AAA,
I am enjoying my new life here in the Netherlands. Life is not so bad with only three legs and I have got quite
used to getting around,I even manage to have a good run and play with the other local dogs although I do get tired quite quickly. I fall over every now andagain but my new owners always pick me up, clean my face and then I'm off again. My Leishmania seems to be well under control and I still get fed peanut butter on a daily basis (I think they hide a tablet
inside but I don't really care!!).
I am getting lots of love and attention and there are many places where I can curl up and sleep.
Thank you for finding me when I was abandoned and taking such good care of me in Spain.
