24-11-2011 Update from Molly about Trueno.

Hello Everybody,Here are some new pictures of Trueno. im pleased to say that he is doing alot better, we now honestly think that he has every chance of getting good again! He has put on so much weight, he looks alive now ! We started to build a stable for  him with the kind donations that you gave, but we run out of money before we could finish. we have made the hardest bit, the concrete base. He now has a temporary shelter to keep the best part of the rain off him, and he has a nice comfy straw bed to lay on, but like i said it is only temporary, I am worried because the heavy rain is on its way and he needs somewhere a bit better to sleep. The good thing is that we where given beautiful warm rugs for him to wear, he looks like a normal horse when he has it on!

Trueno has now got alot more movement in the bottom part of his leg, he puts all of his weight on it without it seeming to bother him to much, but we are still fighting to keep the infection down. He still needs lots of medication, and he will soon need more x-rays which are very expensive.  When we are sitting on the sofa he pokes his head through the window and watches t.v. with us, and he greets us at the gate when we come home.

I have attached some pictures of him, som before and after ones.
PLEASE DONT FORGET ABOUT HIM! WE STILL REALLY NEED ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET TO IMPROVE HIS SITUATION... THE COSTS PER WEEK JUST ON FOOD HAY AND STRAW ARE APPROXIMATELY 80 EUROS, THATS WITHOUT THE VET COSTAS AND HIS MEDICATION.

Please feel free to contact me on 605 369 102 or e-mail me on mollystar_93@hotmail.com

THANK YOU all so much for helping him and us!

7-10-2011  Update from Molly about Trueno and Rubia

Hello everyone! so sorry for not giving you all an update recently, busy busy! well i can gladly say that Rubia is doing really well in her new home in Alahurin, she seems to be a little more sociable because the children who go there to help or to ride a making a lot of fuss over her, shes there new girl!

Trueno is also doing good, its seems like a bit of life has come back into his eyes and he is alot stronger... he now steals the food off me even before i have had the chance to put it down! the inflamation has gone down alot, on monday the vet came again to make an x-ray of his leg to make sure that ther was nothing wrong
because that mornig he was putting no weight on it and i got worried, but he asured me that it was a good thing because it meant that the sensitivity was coming back into the lower part of his leg and the x-ray told us that despite the infectiion being cronic it hadnt got into his bone and there is a very good chance that at this stage now it wont. we have finished the concrete base for the stable and are still waiting for the company who are supplieing use the stable return our calls about when it will be rady, i will keep everyone posted. he is now needing antibiotics for a much longer period and anti-inflamatory sachets and mineral suppliements twice a day, and no more bandages that needed to be changed every day, in two days time he has to have a special type of plaster-cast applied on his leg whitch is to help the swelling and to try and make the hoof grow back as neatly as possible.

He really needs everybodys help and support still, we have no funds left and everything just seems to be getting more and more expensive. please dont forget about him he still needs alot of help. if anyone wishes to see him in person, see reciepts on what we have spent the money raised so far or just ask any sort of question about him please e-mail me on mollystar_93@hotmail.com or phone me on: 605 369 102

Thank you everybody for your help so far but please dont forget about him he still urgently needs your support thankyou!

kind regards, Molly and Trueno! P.S. if anyone can think of a nice new name for him please let me know!

24-9-2011 Update from Molly about Trueno and Rubia.

I just wanted to thank everybody for there support so far, it has been overwhelming for us to know that we are not alone in this. Good news, after having long arguments and threats over the ownership of the horses, we unfortunately had to pay the people 200 euros for the keeping of the foal, and we had a big long fight with them to not take the ill horse away.. they wanted to shoot him and get rid of the evidence of the barbaric state that they had left him in. They threatened me with reporting me to the police for stealing there horses even though they asked for my help, and plus the amount of money that we have had to spend on food and vet bills, and said that they would get someone to hurt our family if we report them to the police! The Guardia Civil for the protection of animals have been no help what so ever, witch saddens me because i know this is not the only case in my area by far. I will proceeed on monday with making sure that they get punnished for there actions and that they never get the privelage of owning another animal as long  as they breath. we are very greatfull for everybodys support, we are getting estimates to build a nice higienic stable for him so that he gets better as soon as possible, and i am try my hardest to get the foal a fantastic home. thankyou all! Dear animal friends,

These pictures are very shocking BUT Maybe we can help!

These horses are found on a plot in Ojen where Molly lives( Triple A helper/ worker, daughter from Tracy and Luke who does the dog houses in AAA)

The poor skinny one is a gelding and had a rope around his back leg for a very long time and could not move AND lost also his hoof some days ago when he was with Molly-Tracy and Luke ....on the pictures you see the result from that! NOT only that he had no opportunity to eat and he did not get any also! The foal was free and had the opportunity to eat grass.

The poor Gelding ( Trueno) is 5 or 6 years old....will never be a riding horse BUT the vet thinks his hoof will come back with very good care and treatment.

The foal ( Rubia) needs a home soon because she only wants to play and the Gelding ( Trueno) needs so much rest.

Molly will get the papers from the foal because they know the owners but are at the moment very afraid to go to the policia because half Ojen is family from these very bad owners....and They live also very near Molly-Luke and Tracy who have a dog hotel and many dogs themselves.

The same owner of the horses had also dogs.....tied up and left alone...died from hunger ( I have pictures, when you want them, let me know!)

For now we need to help Molly-Tracy and Luke, these such a sweet people have NO money and need to buy very good food for the horses...special for Trueno!

NOT only that, they spend all there money on the vet costs and soon rain will come and they have no stable.

I asked Luke how much that will cost and he told me that a good ,safe and warm stable will be around 1000 euro, he can make that himself.

I hope you have contacts who like to help with food and money etc etc.

BUT what is now very important:

* Money for food and vet costs and stable.

* Rug - Horse blacket for the cold.

* Bandages for his foot ( wide)

* Sticky bandages ( for over the normal bandages)

* Special face net for the flyes ( In the mountains in Ojen there are so many very nasty big muskito´s)

* Also this you have for the body to protect the horses for being bitten everywhere.

* Apples and all that horses like.

When you like to know more details about Trueno ( the poor skinny one with the terrible leg) or about Rubia the foal who is only about 1 year and need a home very soon, PLEASE call Molly on 605369102.

BY THE WAY....TRUENO IS THE MOST LOVELY AND GENTLE HORSE WHO LOVES TO CUDDLE SO MUCH!! VERY RELIABLE!!!!!

When you can help with food or other thinks....you can let me know on Diana@aaahelps.com or you can bring this to Triple A and we bring it to Ojen.

Please send this also to people who maybe can help.....

Thank you all so much!

Kind regards,

Diana Luchies

WE NEED HELP TO CONSTRUCT NEW KENNELS FOR OUR DOGS

These kennels are much safer and hygenic and keep out the cold, rain and heat.  They are made of brick and wood and are easy to maintain and clean. We would like to build at least three or four for our dogs for next winter and we need sponsers. Thanks to two private donations we have already been able to build two.  The cost of each kennel is € 200. If you are interested to sponser one of these kennels please contact us.
